Hide my name on the website
If you hold a mining tenement and do not want your name to appear on the TERRADAR website, you can ask us to hide it.
What changes with your request
- On the TERRADAR website (home page, Observatory and tenement pages), your name is shown only as initials, and your tenements can no longer be found by searching your name.
- The tenements stay on the website and can still be found by number and municipality, because they are public data from Brazil’s National Mining Agency.
- The request applies only to this website. The record remains with the National Mining Agency and in the TERRADAR platform used by subscribers.
- Brazilian individual taxpayer numbers (CPF) never appear on the website, with or without a request.
Who can ask
- The holder of the tenement, as an individual or as a sole proprietor.
- A legal representative, for minors or legally incapacitated persons, with the document proving the representation.
- Companies (limited and joint-stock companies, cooperatives, consortia and public bodies) cannot ask.
How to ask
Send an email to contato@terradar.com.br with the subject “Hide my name”, including:
- your full name;
- your CPF (Brazilian individual taxpayer number);
- a photo or legible copy of an official photo ID (Brazilian ID card, driver’s license or passport);
- the numbers of the tenements where your name appears, such as 813.682/1969. If you are a sole proprietor, also send your CNPJ.
Timeframes
- We reply with a request number within 2 business days.
- You get a decision within 15 days, by the same email.
- If the request is approved, your name is hidden on the website within 2 business days.
When a request may be declined
- When we cannot confirm your identity or that you hold the tenements you listed.
- When the holder is a politically exposed person, that is, someone who holds or held a relevant public office, job or function in the last five years, given the public interest in the information.
If a request is declined, we explain why and how to send it again.
What we do with your documents
We use the documents only to confirm your identity and that you hold the tenements, and we delete them after the decision. We keep only a record of the request: the request number, the date, the decision and the tenement numbers. Learn more in the Privacy Policy.
