Privacy policy
Draft of October 5, 2026. This policy takes effect when TERRADAR accounts launch. This English version is provided for convenience; the Portuguese version prevails.
1. Who looks after your data
The data controller is SHARE CONSULTORIA EM TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMACAO LTDA, CNPJ 35.708.358/0001-58, headquartered at Rua João Cordeiro, 3069, Joaquim Távora, Fortaleza/CE, CEP 60110-535, Brazil, which operates TERRADAR.
The data protection officer is Alex Augustus Melo de Andrade. For any privacy matter, write to contato@terradar.com.br.
2. Who this policy applies to
- Visitors to the website and the Mining Observatory.
- Anyone who creates an account and uses the platform.
- People whose names appear in public mining sources and who therefore appear in TERRADAR’s information (section 5).
3. Data about TERRADAR users
Account. Name, email and password. The password is never stored: the authentication service keeps only a code derived from it, from which the password cannot be recovered. For organization accounts, also the organization’s name and CNPJ, each person’s role and invited email addresses.
Payment. Payment is handled by a payment partner, which receives the payment details. TERRADAR does not receive or store your card number. We keep the plan, the subscription status, amounts paid and invoices.
Access logs. As required by Brazil’s Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet), we keep the IP address, date and time of each access for 6 months, in a controlled environment.
Use of the assistant. The questions you ask the assistant and the data of the tenement consulted are sent to the artificial intelligence provider to generate the answer. The provider does not use this data to train its models. The conversation history is stored in your own browser. To prevent abuse, the IP address is used only in the server’s memory, briefly, to limit the number of questions, without being recorded.
Portfolio. The tenements you follow, so they are in your account on any device.
Browser preferences. TERRADAR stores preferences in your browser, not on our servers, such as language, map filters, selected layers, recent searches and the assistant history. You can delete all of this by clearing the site data in your browser.
Contact. When you contact TERRADAR by email or WhatsApp, we receive what you send us in order to reply.
Map. Maps use technology from a map provider, which receives technical usage data (such as map loads and device type) to work and to bill TERRADAR for usage.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools.
4. What we use this data for
- Creating and maintaining your account and delivering what your plan includes (performance of a contract).
- Billing, issuing invoices and meeting tax obligations and the Internet Civil Framework (legal obligation).
- Protecting the platform against fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and fixing faults (legitimate interest).
- Notifying you of changes to the terms, your plan or billing.
We do not sell personal data.
5. People who appear in public sources
TERRADAR’s information comes from public mining sources: mining authorities (registry and proceedings), federal tax and corporate registries, public debt registries, official gazettes, published court notices, environmental bodies and public rural registries. The specific sources of a given piece of data are provided on request, through the channel in section 9.
We process this data to provide information on mining rights, their holders and the territory, with these safeguards:
- Individual taxpayer numbers (CPF) never appear. When a source publishes a CPF, it is stored separately, in a closed environment, with no access through the platform.
- Documents, when they appear, are masked exactly as the source publishes them. Personal email addresses appear masked.
- An individual appears only by name, on the platform, the website and the Observatory.
- On the website and the Observatory, the name of the holder of a mining tenement, whether an individual or a sole proprietor, appears on the tenement page and can be found through search. When the same person holds more than one tenement, they appear together on a page with that person’s name, grouped by the person’s ID document, which is never shown. Different people with the same name are not grouped together.
If you appear in this information, you can request by email:
- Correction, when TERRADAR’s information differs from the official source. If the error is in the source itself, the correction must be requested from the body that published it.
- That your name be hidden on the website. If you hold a tenement, as an individual or a sole proprietor, your name is shown only as initials on the website and the Observatory, and your tenements can no longer be found by searching your name. The request applies only to the website: the public record remains at the source and in the TERRADAR platform. The steps are on the Hide my namepage, and the documents you send are used only to confirm your identity and that you hold the tenements, and are deleted after the decision.
6. Who we share data with
We use providers that process data on our behalf, only for the purposes of this policy:
- database and authentication, with servers in São Paulo;
- payment partner;
- artificial intelligence provider, which processes data only to generate answers, without using it to train models;
- map and satellite imagery provider;
- server hosting;
- WhatsApp, when you choose to contact us through it.
We may also share data when required by law or a court order.
7. How long we keep data
- Account data: for as long as the account exists.
- Billing data and invoices: 5 years, due to tax obligations, even after the account ends.
- Access logs: 6 months.
- Preferences and assistant history: in your browser, until you delete them.
8. Data outside Brazil
The database is in Brazil, in São Paulo. Other providers, such as the payment partner, the artificial intelligence provider and the map provider, are outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. In those cases, transfers follow the rules of Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
9. Your rights
You can request confirmation that we process your data, access to it, correction, portability, information on who we share it with, and deletion of anything we are not required by law to keep. You can also object to processing or withdraw consent. Write to contato@terradar.com.br. We reply within 15 days. You can also file a complaint with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
10. Security
Data travels encrypted. Access to servers is restricted to those who need it. Individuals’ documents are kept separately, with no access through the platform. No system is infallible; if an incident could cause significant risk or harm, we will notify the people affected and the National Data Protection Authority.
11. Minors
TERRADAR is not intended for anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes are announced by email or on the platform before they take effect.
